BRANDING EQUIPMENT

Branding produces a permanent mark on timber, plastic, rubber and leather and is used on pallets, scaffolding boards, computer and office equipment, cases, barrels, construction and hire equipment, furniture and almost any product of suitable material requiring an identification or security mark.
Electric brands, machine mounted brands, fire brands and gas brands are available. Upon receipt of artwork/design, details of the application and estimated usage a quote for an appropriate piece of equipment can be provided. Electric branding irons are generally matched to the size of the die plate and to the number of marks to be made per session to ensure that the expected performance is achieved.

Round Shank Irons VICI LV19/LV25 and ALK ER Tubular Element Irons are available up to 400 watts and are particularly recommended when the facility to regularly change dies is required.
The engraved die plate can be any size from 10mm diameter up to 100 x 25mm.

Single Handled Alk Brands These cater for designs with a marking area from as small as 30 x 16mm up to 100 x 100mm or 150 x 50mm.
The wattage varies with the die size from 125 to 800 watts.

Double Handled Alk Brands These brands are more heavy duty and are operated using two robust handles.
They cater for larger designs ranging from 150 x 50mm to 350 x 80mm.

Machine Mounting Brands Brands for use in a machine or drill press where repeat branding is carried out on a workbench.  Several of the ALK series can be adapted to be machine press mounted if required so many sizes are available.
Additionally the VICI round shank irons can be supplied mounted into a drill stand to enable repeat, uniform branding.

Voltage Controller Used in conjunction with the smaller electric brands to reduce power and hence temperature when marking delicate materials such as plastic or rubber.
Reducing the temperature of the iron prevents melting and burning of the material.

Interchangeable Type & Variable Inserts Many die plates can be specially modified to accept interchangeable type, logotype or variable inserts.

Gas Branding Irons These are self-contained portable units. The engraved die is mounted on a special nozzle fitted to a standard plumbers gas torch, useful where electric power cannot be used.
Die plates for larger gas branding equipment can also be made to order - we have manufactured a large number of these for gas and electrically heated pallet production equipment.

Fire Brands Heated in an open fire or gas flame these traditional brands are a simple and effective way of marking wood/leather/horn or hoof. The brands are usually cut from steel.
